When does West Harbor Marina open?

The marina opens in summer 2027, alongside the grand opening of the West Harbor district. Slips are available now for occupancy June 1, so operators can secure space before opening day.

Where is the marina?

West Harbor Marina occupies Berths 75, 77 and 79 in West Harbor, a new 42-acre waterfront district in the Port of Los Angeles in San Pedro, California. The district is being developed by Jerico Development and The Ratkovich Company.

What kinds of operators is the marina for?

The marina is built for commercial, charter and passenger vessels: whale watching, harbor tours, dinner cruises, sportfishing, diving, water taxis, excursions and watercraft rentals. All slips are licensed to approved operators.

How many slips are there, and what sizes?

There are 30+ commercial slips across three berths, plus a water sport area:

  • Berth 75: 16 slips, about 70′–72′ long and 20′–35′ wide. Accommodating vessels as long as 110 ft.
  • Berth 77: 7 slips from 54′ to 67′ long, including a 156′ alongside berth, plus the 55′ × 55′ water sport area at 77.5. Sold out to Harbor Breeze.
  • Berth 79: 8 slips on four finger piers, each 75′ long and 22′–35′ wide. Accommodating vessels as long as 110 ft.

Future development will include transient berthing for mega yachts and other vessels between 110 ft and 350 ft in length. For more information inquire here.

My vessel is larger than a single slip. Can slips be combined?

Yes. At Berth 75, slips 1a + 1b and 8a + 8b can be combined for larger operations. Slip 4 at Berth 77 is a 156′ alongside berth suited to longer vessels. Tell us your vessel’s length and beam in the inquiry form and we’ll suggest options.

Do the slips have utilities?

Yes, slips at all three berths are being built with utilities. At a minimum each slip has fresh water, 30A and 50A power. Some slips have 100A. Pump-out stations are available. Let us know your power and service needs in your inquiry.

What is the water sport area?

Berth 77.5 is a 55′ × 55′ area set aside for water sport operations, such as personal watercraft or paddle rentals, next to the Berth 77 slips.

Who will be visiting West Harbor?

West Harbor is projected to draw about 4.6 million visitors a year once open, with 300,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment and a 6,200-seat waterfront amphitheater. It is also close to the World Cruise Center, the USS Iowa Museum and the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium.
